Industry and use-case guides

Diesel treatment for the work you do.

Choose a guide for your equipment, fuel setup and winter schedule.

Start with the work your diesel has to do on a cold morning. A plow pickup waiting for dispatch, a tractor needed for feeding and a camper tow vehicle parked far from home have different schedules, fueling arrangements and service options. These guides help you turn those differences into a measured fuel plan.

Each page separates preventive treatment from emergency recovery. Cold Flow and 4-IN-1 belong in the preparation decision before fuel cools to its cloud point; Diesel Recovery has a separate tank-and-filter procedure for already-gelled fuel. Product guidance is linked to the official manufacturer bulletins, with current package sizes rather than assumed bottle or drum options.

Choose the equipment and work pattern closest to yours

Snow plow and snow removal contractors

Winter diesel planning for plow trucks and loaders: yard dosing, bottle and pail choices, prevention and recovery before the next snow route.

Towing and wrecker companies

Prepare tow trucks for cold calls, size shop fuel deliveries and carry a clear emergency plan for customers with gelled diesel.

Farms and ranches

Plan farm and ranch diesel treatment for tractors, loaders and 300 to 1,000-gallon fuel deliveries, with official doses and package guidance.

Construction contractors

Prepare job-site diesels and 100 to 500-gallon fuel deliveries with measured anti-gel doses, clear shift records and a separate recovery procedure.

Diesel pickup and RV owners

Measure anti-gel for 20 to 40-gallon pickup fills and plan for colder overnight RV stops, with bottle choices and separate recovery guidance.

Bring your fuel volumes to the calculation

Use the trade’s dosing table for an initial check, then open the diesel treatment calculator with its suggested starting inputs. Enter actual fuel volume, not simply the capacity printed on a tank. A bulk delivery and existing untreated contents need separate volume checks. Seasonal mode totals purchasing needs across fills; it does not put a season’s dose into one application.

The product comparison helps distinguish cold-flow protection, cleaning, cetane improvement and emergency recovery. For the weather side of the plan, the city guides provide local climate figures and recent verified cold-weather examples. Equipment manuals and supplier guidance remain part of the decision, especially when several tanks or drivers share one fuel supply.

Ask about the application before buying inventory

For a question about a fleet, farm or personal diesel setup, email our dealership with the product and fuel volume you are considering. AMSOIL handles checkout, availability and shipping. These pages offer planning information without promising business pricing, delivery terms or local emergency service.
